Notice of Vacant Seats
The Stoneybrook at Venice CDD has three (3) seats up for election, specifically seats 2,3 and 5 each carrying a 4-year term of office. Elections are nonpartisan and will be held at the same time as the general election on November 8, 2022. Notice is hereby given that the qualifying period for candidates for seats on the Board of Supervisors of the Stoneybrook at Venice Community Development District (the “District”) will commence at 12:00 pm on June 13, 2022 and close at 12:00 pm on June 17, 2022
Candidates may qualify* for the office of board member of the District with the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections by mail to the Honorable Ron Turner, Supervisor of Elections, Post Office Box 4194, Sarasota, Florida 34230-4194 or in person at the following office location:

* All candidates shall qualify for individual seats in accordance with Section 99.061, Florida Statutes, and must also be a qualified elector of the District. A qualified elector is any person at least 18 years of age who is a citizen of the United States, a legal resident of the State of Florida and of the District, and who is registered to vote with the Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections. Campaigns shall be conducted in accordance with Chapter 106, Florida Statutes.

Stoneybrook at Venice Community Development District Disclosure
Please be advised that the Stoneybrook at Venice Community Development District (the "District"), a local unit of special purpose government created under Florida law, has constructed and is responsible for the maintenance of certain improvements, infrastructure and facilities within the District. The District financed this construction through the sale of tax-exempt bonds, a form of public financing.
